This could well be the best mixer ever made! I have one that was a hand me down through the family. Unfortunately the bowls and other attachments have disappeared over time, but the mixer still works great! I think I'm going to buy another one so I have all the parts plus some extra pieces.

I was able to buy a new one of these at the (now defunct) Sullivan Sporting Goods store on Geary around 1998. I've looked for a replacement recently and have not seem them carried anywhere. Suspect the City has dropped this as the required "uniform" for P.E. class - much as they've lost interest in physical education in general.

it's not "from some school in San Fran" - this was standard issue for all public schools in the City for years and years. having the yellow side was a great relief to 6th graders who didn't like to stand out among the 8th graders when it was "shirts vs. skins". in particular I remember wearing it in middle school 1980-1982. i am as old as frickin dirt.

super easy... just set your dial to bake like mine... plug it in... once the light goes out pour your batter in it. About 1/3 cup or so.... close lid... wait till light goes out. Open it up and with a fork pull out your waffle.... repeat.

if waffles are too cooked turn the dial to low, too soft turn it to hot.
