1942 UNION SPECIAL 51400 A CZ

Today it's one of my new sewing machines.
I'm gearing up to start making some jeans and needed the right equipment.
This is a Union Special 51400  Dated to 1942.
I wanted all vintage machines to make my jeans as they'll be a vintage cut and why not... right?
This is missing a few pieces but not bad.   Mostly all there.  Just a few parts to order from Union Special, which is still in business and selling parts... in the USA.
I really do have a "Thing" for these old machines.   Once I get the others cleaned, oiled and fixed I'll post them and hopefully down the line I'll have some jeans to show!   It's Vintage Gear for Guys.

    1. I've seen an old navy version at a jean shop. I wonder how many of them are out there.

    1. This machine can be used to fell the back yoke, you can also take a needle out and use it as single needle for legs and hems, even waistband.
