Today it's my Kabar Knife.
Now this one is a very small version of their famous Kabar.

Stacked leather handle.  Brass guard.

My guess would be from the 50's on this one.

I use this mostly for opening letters and packages.  It might have been a knife made for fishing?

Here's to give scale to the size of this knife.  That's a .50 cent piece.
Kabar leather sheath
So there is my letter opener.  It's a vintage Kabar and I thought you guys might like to see it.  I've never seen another one, but I'm sure they're out there....

Today it's my 1930's Wardrobe.
I got tired of having all my coats, hats and shoes everywhere, so I found this little gem on craigslist.  It was in poor condition and I got it cheap.  I took the whole thing apart, striped and cleaned it, band then oiled and waxed it up.  I also reinforced some of the pieces...
It's not perfect, but it does the job for me.  It also goes great with my deco bar and Zenith radio (all in the same room.)
Here it is all opened up. It's pretty packed, but I can find what I'm looking for.  I added the shoe rack and hanging shoe rack.  The hat shelf was already there.
It has some really nice subtle lines to it.
Here's the original hat shelf.. I don't put the fedora's in there as it would take up too much room.
That's the original label on it... "Hats"
Made in England by HomeWorthy Furniture
Original Hardware.  I really like this as it's not only a great piece to have in the room, it's also very functional.  It's a cool closet that keeps my vintage clothes and shoes out of site and dust free... It's Vintage Gear for Guys...
