Today it's another cool estate find.
It's a vintage Goebel Beer Opener. Back when beer came in cans that needed to be punched open or bottles for caps.
It's a very pretty opener with with a copper plating. Very nice "deco" lines too.
That's to punch a hole to drink your beer in a can.
and that's to open your bottles. It has a bit of white paint on it.
Goebel was a beer maker from 1873 - 1964, then acquired by Stroh Brewing, then later by Pabst which finally killed it in 2005. This opener is probably from the 50's or 60's.
I like it's even showing the location. Oakland, Calif. It's a must for the Vintage Gear Guy!
