CUTTER BOARDS, ETC. CUSTOM WOOD CUTTING BOARD

Merry Xmas Everyone!   Today it's an awesome gift from my mom....
A custom made cutting board made by "Cuter Boards Etc."  from Indianapolis IND.
It's really cool.  It's a mixture of hardwoods.  Maple, Yellowheart, Cherry, Walnut, Paduak, and Bubinga.
The design really looks great to me.  It looks almost deco.
It's nice and thick too.  I really don't want to use it as it looks so beautiful.
Here's my old Sabatier chef's knife to give you some scope.
A cutting board is a must in the kitchen of a Vintage Gear Guy, but having an awesome one of a kind type cutting board is the icing on the cake.  Thanks Mom!

Here's his link.. if you buy one, mention you saw it here!

VINTAGE 1961 GENERAL SODA-ACID FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Today it's a cool item I picked up this week.
It's a stainless steel 1961 General Soda-Acid Fire Extinguisher and looks to be all complete.
It's a really cool item that makes a statement in any room
Dated 1961 although I'm sure it was used up through the 70's
Here's a close up of the nozzle.
You open it up and inside is a suspended glass ball with a lead topper.
Inside the glass you'd put sulfuric Acid and the lead topper would open once you tipped it upside down.
Filled with a mixture of water and sodium bicarbonate.  Once they mixed Co2 would be produced and out shot the water through the hose.
Model SS-15b...   I have know idea about the model numbers.
It's just a cool piece that looks great to my eye.  It's vintage (early 60's) and has a real "Working Man" feel to me.  It's vintage gear for guys!

BLACK ZIPPO IN CRINKLE/CRACKLE FINSH

Today it's my new Zippo Crinkle finish Lighter.
I always wanted a black crinkle finish lighter like they carried in WWII... well this is as close as I can come to it today, without spending a fortune.
It's a new zippo.  Brass with black crinkle finish.
Same as a normal zippo in every way.
But I did read they "laser" offed the bottom crinkle, as I believe the originals were covered head to toe.
Having a lighter, even if you don't use it for smoking, is a handy vintage guy thing....  Plus, Zippos are just plain cool!
