VINTAGE LEATHER BELT

The best things in life are free...
Case in point.... My belt that I've had for at least 15 years and got it free at a garage sale with probably another 15 years on it.

for some reason this is my go to belt. Sadly it's nearing the end of its life.

The patina on this is amazing.

the holes are starting to not hold anymore and will soon tear, so I treat it very gently.

That's what the leather USED to look like...

A true worn belt is a thing of beauty in my eyes.

Wrapped up and waiting to be worn.

If you find an old belt that fits you, pick it up. You'll thank me later. Vintage belts are a must in the Vintage Gear for Guys closet. And if you can find one for free... all the better...

VINTAGE PEANUTS POCKET DOLL - LINUS

If you remember before I posted a Charlie Brown Pocket Doll, well now I found Linus.
These are from the mid 60's and look like the 50's Peanuts Gang.

Finding Linus with his blanket is not easy. I don't know why it's red, as the comic strip it's blue.

So now I've got both Charlie Brown and Linus. Yeah, I know they're dolls. I'd also like a Buddy Lee Doll too, but those are way to much for my wallet.

I keep them both in my double Barrister Bookcase, along with way too much stuff...

I didn't even know they made these until a few years ago. I bought the complete Peanuts collection from 1950-1956... in book form. Well worth it if you like The Peanuts.

VINTAGE RONSON VARAFLAME LIGHTER

Today it's my Ronson Varaflame lighter.
It doesn't more more aerodynamic than this....

Lot's of detail went into the design of this lighter...

It's a butane lighter but I'm having trouble filling it up. The butane just goes all over it. It might just be one to look at....

This lighter looks like it should be shooting through space...

Not sure of the year, but probably early 60's. I prefer Zippos as they're easier to use and work every time. I'm put a few of them on my blog in the past if you into them.
Even if you don't smoke, a Vintage Gear Guy needs a cool lighter that isn't disposable....
