BROOKS BROTHERS LEATHER HOUSE SLIPPERS

Well, after what seemed forever I finally found a pair of leather slippers...
Just like Ward would have worn... the type your dog brings you with the paper and a cold beer, opened of course.

A great pair of Brooks Brothers all leather slippers that I picked up at a garage sale for a buck... never worn, the slippers that is.

Doesn't get more leather than that... hand made and hand lasted... No Chinese made pooh here... pure English hide...

and what are the odds that they'd be in my size...

A little look on the insides...

Slippers like these are the type that all men wore when they got home. It's what made men, men back in the day... after a long day at work, slipping on the slippers and kicking back while your wife makes dinner and a pie.... They're vintage gear for guys!

VINTAGE 1970'S LEE DENIM STUDDED OUTFIT

Okay, well I'd never wear it as a daily thing, but this is just too cool to pass up not putting it on the Poohbang!
I found this at my local thrift store and could not believe what I saw on the rack...

It just oozes 1970. Vintage Lee Denim jacket and matching pants that someone spent a lot of time and effort with their bedazzler...

It's just so ugly, it's beautiful. It really should be in a some denim museum or something. The tags have been cut, but both pieces are matching from Lee.

Talon 42 zipper and green stitching. Oh and check out that lightning bolt on the left leg!

It's not quite vintage gear for guys, but it is super cool and incredibly special. I just had to share...

IAN FLEMING JAMES BOND NOVELS

Today, I'm pulling out some of the many vintage paperbacks I own.
Here is a nice set of Ian Fleming, James Bond Novels. Most all from Signet from the mid 1960's.

It's great to read the novels as they are a little different than the films we grew up with.

This is pretty much all of the James Bond novels up to date in the mid 60's.

A great "Author" photo...

Books, and especially, James Bond novels are a Vintage Guy Gear for sure. Every guy should read at least one so they can truly experience James Bond as he was meant to be...
