VINTAGE ROOS SWEETHART CEDAR CHEST WATERFALL

Last Saturday I finally found an affordable Vintage Cedar Chest!
I got this at a thrift store, not cheap, but not too bad, about $50.00. I've been looking for one for about a year as I've noticed more moths in the house than I like to have...

The only wear area is right at the bottom veneer ... notice the hidden drawer!

Cleaned it up with Murphy's Oil Soap, and then a nice top wax...

Plenty of room from my vintage suits, shirts and sweaters... I need a really big one to hold all my hats... that will be later. They call this style "Water fall" as it looks like, well a water fall. Even has the original top shelf for small items...

Made by Roos... A "Sweethart" chest. These were really big in the 40's-50's. Sometimes they called them "Hope Chests" as young women would put items in them in "Hopes" of getting married...

This one I'd date about late 1940's. Still smells very strong of Cedar! They're great to hold your vintage wool items and know they're safe with out using moth balls...
