Today it's some relics from my past....
Old whiskey bottles that I found in one of the houses I lived in about 20 years ago.

We were tearing out old plaster and sitting on the framing were these two whiskey bottles.

Usually workmen just put their trash in the walls of old houses... and I guess they had a few nips while building a house. The house was built in 1920 in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri.

these bottles sat there for 70 years until we decided to remodel. They're really cool old bottles and I love that the one label has survived this whole time.

You can see that the "rusty" side of the cap was facing the outside wall. Moisture over time seeped in and started to rust it.

Cool old items like these really fascinate me and I love that they're now a part of my history. So if you ever remodel an older home. Take a peek inside the wall... you never know what you might find.
