BING CROSBY DECCA RECORD CLEANER BRUSH

Today it's a vintage record Cleaner from the 1940's.
This was probably a hand out given to people who bought records as the shops name is on it.

Pretty simple with a blue felting material. A little worst for wear. I don't use it as I have my other record cleaner brush (earlier on blog)

But it's cool and has ol' Bing on it..

It's a cool item to have and use if you play a lot of older records... I've seen others with different record stores on them, but the same Bing Crosby on the front.

1953 HIGH SCHOOL LETTER SWEATER TIGERS!

Today I thought I'd show a High School Varsity/Letter sweater I have...
I really like this one for both the graphics and color. It's obviously from 1953 and school that begins with "C".

I really like the graphics and the color of this sweater.

these can still be found, although usually with just the year numbers and not cool mascots too.

they usually are fairly big and stretch a bit. They're all wool too. My tag was missing when I picked this one up, but I still really like it. It's a cool vintage item that a guy needs when he's feeling the need for school spirit...

1959 TOOTSIE TOY OLDSMOBILE CAR

So since I'm showing some playthings... I forgot I picked this up years ago at a garage sale.
It's an old Tootsietoy Oldsmobile from 1959. Made in Chicago toy number P-10287

It was at one time dark green.

All die cast with real rubber wheels.

It's a cool item as guys love cars and what's better than a vintage toy car.

Obviously some kid loved this car... maybe his dad had one...

I don't think this old tootsietoys are worth that much, but they are cool just to put around the house. Takes you back to a fun time to play when toys were solid and heavy... built to last.

So toy cars are vintage gear for guys who like to play from time to time....

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY - VINTAGE VALENTINES CARDS

Happy Valentines Day!
These are not actually mine, but my wifes... But I thought they should be shown for today...

These are from the 1950's and were the "teacher" valentine that came in the pack of cards for kids to give out at school.

So Happy Valentines Day from PoohBang!
