Today it's a really cool item that belonged to my grandfather ...
It's a Zippo Tape Measure he got for his work at Westinghouse Atomic Division back in the 50's.
Chromed top about the same size as a zippo, with a metal tape measure inside.
These don't have the markings that a normal Zippo Lighter would have so I can't date it for sure.
It's tough to find real metal, well built things any more...  They really don't make them like this anymore.
I love stuff like this.  Small, but built really well and has great personal and historical significance.   It even has his name printed on the back.   If you're lucky enough to acquire some cool little items from your families past, you should.  Otherwise they'll just vanish and you'll lose that piece of your own history.
