So today, I wanted to show a poster I just got a frame for.
This is my Thin Man Poster for the release of the film. It's not original but a super fine reproduction.

I bought this last year and forgot about it... remembered, and bought a frame!

It's one of my favorite series in both book and film.

If you haven't seen the series, watch it. It's really terrific. It's got everything, action, comedy, suspense, beautiful women, drinking, and drinking.

Today, it's my other pair of Alden 405's these are custom boots from LeatherSoulHawaii.
These are made by Alden and made just like the standard 405's only these are called the Ultimate Indy's.

They have a commando sole, full leather lined, darker brown leather, waxed laces and made a bit better than the standard 405.

I actually won these at in January in a photo contest! I've never won anything so fantastic...

The boots have a very familiar feel and yet a more comfortable feel than the standard 405.

I think the sole has a lot to do with it.

They're really breaking in nicely. I try to give them a nice rotation with my other footwear.

What's left of the inside writing. If you can afford these, buy these... you'll be very, very happy!

Today it's my vintage Seth Thomas Chrome Wall clock
I bought this at a garage sale.

It's probably from a school or business as it's a big chrome wall clock, and it not many homeowners would want this huge thing in it's day.

Comes with a General Time Corp motor that you can actually see spinning when it's on through that clear circle. Tough to see as it's spinning...

Marked 5009...?
I like stuff like this... stuff most people don't think about having, but once they see it in a house they think it's cool... Plus it keeps very good time...

Here's two of my favorite records in my collection.
both from the "I Love" series from Essex

I just love these covers. They remind of my paperbacks.

How early 50's is that! Ashtray, two wine glasses, leopard outfit...

Can't say the actual music is my favorite, but I sure do love the covers...

It's fun to own things like this as it really takes you to another place in your mind..

Today it's my 1947 Pirate Ball Cap by Cooperstown ball caps.
I've been wanting a ball cap for while, but of course I wanted it vintage.... I wanted the closest thing to a 1940's cap I could find.. this is it.

Here's a fit pic (excuse the red eye) It's lower to the head and has little starch.

100% wool and not a blend like a lot of the modern caps.

Leather sweat band too. A big plus on buying it!

A good ball cap is a great item to have in your collection.. They make a pretty good one. Only bad thing to say is they left something under the fabric when they sewed the cap part and I feel it every time I adjust my cap... but for what you get I can live with it.... Tell Pooh sent ya, if you order one!

Today, it's my vintage Office Chair.
I refinished this one a few years ago. I stripped what was left of the finish and reupholstered the seat (originally horsehair) with a nice piece of horsehide.

It turned out pretty well too. The main spring was broken and since they don't make them anymore I had to use a modern spring, but it's not quite the same.

The tiger wood is really fantastic on the chair. I found written in pencil on the bottom that the chair was reupholstered in 1945. So I assume this chair is from the 30's.

How the they used to work.

Real honest to goodness wear on that leg... These are cool chairs if you can find them. They don't pop up all the time so if you see one and you can afford it... get it.
