Big News! Read at bottom...!

Every guy need a good bottle opener. That Coors light key chain one from college, just don't do it any more...
This is my perfect bottle opener. A vintage Irvin Ware, made in Italy.

It can open any type of bottle from beer to wine.

What I love about it is it's heavy. All metal and just works great, feels great in your hand and can open anything.

If you see one, you should try it out because I know you'll love it.

So pick up one for your vintage gear for guys collection.

Okay... now the big news! I just started a Forum for Drinkers! I call it

Stop by and register. It's brand new! A place for guys to talk about all things... Drinking!

Today, Let's take a look at a pair of my cheep 1970's Sunglasses.
They're so sleazy, they're cool! I found these in a thrift store somewhere along the line.

No name as they were probably from some drug store. But not bad looking sunglasses.

heavy chrome metal frames with real glass lenses.

It's what to wear with a type 3 Levi's Jacket and faded blue jeans.

If you don't have a pair of cheap sunglasses, you need some. Mostly because they're vintage gear for guys!

Every guy needs a few work shirts... this is a Wrangler snap button Work shirt.
I picked this one up thinking it would fit, but it's a little tight. It's a 16 x 35 and I guess I need a 17x35 so if anyone can wear it, let me know..

Great chambray blue material with cool western details.... check out that back!

Classic Wrangler "W" with hole for your pencil.

it's a great weekend shirt that says lets get into trouble!

I have a few, and hoped this would fit but no worries... I'll find another one as they're vintage gear for guys!

One thing I can't pass up when I'm out thrifting is Comedy Records. I collect them and Jazz.
Here's a few of the ones I have in my collection. Bill Cosby, has made probably 10 or so albums and I think I have all of them.

Cheech and Chong are hard to find as most people wore them out!

Bob Newhart is one of the original huge comedy record men.

Woody Allen only made a few and they're a little rare.

This is actually the rarest Steve Martin as it didn't sell well as half of it is not comedy but banjo playing!

Gotta have a few George Carlin..

I wish Richard was still going, most of his stuff is rated R, but it's really fun to listen to...

Records are something that every guy needs. Weather at at party and putting on some Jazz or just having some friends over and listening to some comedy, nothing is like a real live record.

Today I'm going to do something new. This is a Dobbs Royal Coachman Stingy Brim Fedora in a size of 7 1/8.

I saw this, and just couldn't pass it up even though it was too small for me.

The fedora is really a super dark blue almost black but I'm pretty sure it's blue. The photos have flash and non flash (top pic is closest)

It's super stingy too! The brim is only 1 and 3/16 inch with a 5 inch crown.

Even has a trolley cord! This was a very fancy hat when it was new.

It doesn't look like it was used. I don't see any moth divots either.
It's very Mad Men, late 50's early 60's. And sold in Detroit Michigan!

Sorry, but this fedora is sold...

And remember that a fedora is a nice piece of Vintage Gear for Guys!

Today I'm feeling a bit fun, so I'll highlight my Vintage 50's Siamese Cats, TV lamp.
TV lamps were all the rage in the 50's with the invention of TV sets. They came in huge cabinets and people would put these ceramic lights on them for some light without hurting the viewing of their TV's.

I think it has a 20 watt bulb or something and it glows behind the cats so you can still see, but not be blinded.

They came in all types of animals and objects. They're a bit gaudy but I still like it.

You definitely don't see them every day so it's a nice piece for your house.
It's not really gear, but it is vintage and just something fun I had around the house that I thought you'd get a kick out of...

Since it's Sunday, why not a nice cup of coffee...
I know it's not vintage, but the actual device sure is. A hand crank Coffee Grinder.

This one is made by Hues n Brews. It's a ceramic container with a lid that holds the grinding wheel.

Just load it up with coffee and grind. I like this one as I feel I'm actually making my coffee, plus if it's early you don't wake everyone up with the sound of an electric grinder.

A look inside. The metal cracked and I had to mend it.... Fixed fine and works great.

When you're done, just open the lid and scoop out your coffee. It's Vintage Gear for Guys!
