REVERE COFFEE PERCOLATOR

I love the art of making coffee almost as much I love drinking coffee.

Everyone has a drip coffee maker, but before that everyone had a Coffee Percolator.

One, I think it tastes better from a percolator and two it's just cool to use it!

Mine is a Revere Ware probably from the 1950's. It's all stainless with the classic copper and a real glass percolator.

It's really easy to use and fun to watch it percolate. And the you also get that classic sound of the "bloop, bloop, bloop."

Every guy should have one of these for those special times when a drip coffee maker just won't do. Plus, it will impress everyone, every time you make some coffee.

WEBER GRILL

Now some of you might be saying..."That's not gear?" But I beg to differ. A guy is a guy on the weekends standing in front of the grill. A plate of burgers in one hand and a beer in the other. Friends gathering, waiting, for that special taste that only a grill will give you.

What better than a Vintage Weber Grill. Okay, this one is not totally vintage but it's design is. Of course mine could use a good wash...

Weber hasn't changed it for 50 years. That's why I picked one up.

Does a great job grilling hotdogs to hamburgers and everything in between.

Has a great 1950's vibe to it too!

So no, you don't wear it, or use it daily, but it is Vintage Gear For Guys.

SADDLE SHOES

I really love the look of Saddle Shoes and wish they offered new ones.

Mine are from Cole Hann and are probably from the late 80's. I really want a navy and white pair but haven't found a used pair yet.

Saddles go with khaki's or jeans and just look dressy without being dressy.

They're also fun to wear as nobody wears them anymore.

Personally, I like the cut out design of the leather and have seen some saddles without it and they look cheaper.

Saddles have been around for a long long time and if you can find them, make a great addition to your Vintage Collection!

FENDER GUITAR

Every guy worth his weight as a guy has to at one time picked up a guitar. Either a screaming electric or a smooth acoustic.

This is my Fender Acoustic that I bought second hand from a pawn shop. I think everyone should buy a guitar from a pawn shop.. it's just something a guy should do.

I'm not great at it, but I enjoy playing it. It's just nice to have a guitar around so you can pick it up and strum it and play a song or two...

It's not that vintage, but it's been around and most importantly, it is Guy Gear....

1937 LEVI 501 JEANS

This a pair of Vintage Levi Clothing 501 Jeans of their 1937 model.

This pair, I actually sold this pair to a friend on SuFu because they didn't fit after I lost a bit of weight (jogging) and had to buy another pair in a smaller size.

The 37's are really nice, with cone selevdge denim, buckle-back back, Hidden, riveted back pockets and crotch, leather tag and classic 1937 cut and fit.

I really, really like the LVC line of clothing. I own a few pairs of the 501 and would like to own more.

You must own a pair of jeans so why not have the original 501 from Levi's that will last you a lifetime and not some designer brand that will fall apart in a year or two.

VINTAGE DESK LAMP

Every guy needs to see what he's doing and what works better than a candle? A desk lamp! And why not get yourself a cool Vintage 40's one....

This is one of two I own and use. These types of desk lamps have a very heavy cast iron base and flexible neck. The hoods are usually very similar also.

My other one has a built in ashtray at the bottom. This one is a cool dark green color and still has the original cord. Check out the cool bakelite switch!

This is a great addition to your list of gear for the Vintage Guy!
