LO-HEET STAINLESS DRIP COFFEE MAKER

Sunday Coffee Time again...
This time it's my brand-new-to-me Vintage Drip Coffee Maker!

by the Lo-Heet brand maker of what ever they made back in the day.

I'm guessing this one is from the late 40's by it's design and handles.

It works I guess (I just got it) by filling the basket with coffee grounds... pouring boiling water in the top piece and letting it drip to the bottom, where you pour it out and drink it....

I was just boiling some water through it to clean it out since I just got it... Anyone else have one of these? It's cool vintage Gear for Guys!

  1. Hey...I have one of these that belonged to my parents. We have always used it for camping, and we love the coffee it makes! In fact I'm considering using it at home on a daily basis because it's so environmentally friendly and simple. Enjoy!

  3. I bought one of these at an estate auction a couple of months ago. It was part of a batch lot that also included a Procter-Silex Glass electric percolator!

  5. I just acquired a kitchen utensil with a black handle that reads "Low-Heet". It is sort of like those potato mashers with a round head with holes, but there are no holes. Perhaps it was to tamp down the coffee grounds for your drip coffeemaker?
